Dog events & dog meet-ups near you
On DOGSY you discover upcoming dog meet-ups, puppy meet-ups, training, dog sports and casual walks in your area – sign up with your dog or host a meet-up yourself. All free of charge. Here's how it works.
What it looks like in the app
A look at the events list before you sign up.

What are dog events on DOGSY?
Dog events are real meet-ups of dog people – from a shared walk to a puppy meet-up, training or dog sports. In DOGSY you see the upcoming events near you, sign up with one tap and bring your dog along. After signing up you see the exact meeting point and join the event chat, where everyone who's coming coordinates. Want to host? Create your event in a few steps – free of charge too.
How to join an event
From search to meeting point in just a few steps:
Discover events
In DOGSY, open «Discover» and then «Events». You'll see the upcoming dog meet-ups – by default in your country.
Filter by time, place & type
Filter by time frame (this week, weekend, month), by radius around your address (1–100 km) and by event type. That's how you find meet-ups that suit you.
Sign up with one tap – with your dog and, if you like, additional people. Events on DOGSY are free.
Meeting point & event chat
After signing up you see the exact meeting point, add the date to your phone calendar and join the event chat, where changes and cancellations are discussed straight away.
Subscribe to events
Above the list, tap «Events abonnieren» (subscribe to events), pick your event types and a radius. As soon as a matching new event is approved, DOGSY tells you – you no longer have to keep checking yourself.
What is it good for?
Three everyday situations where events help:
New to the area
You have moved and don't know anyone with a dog yet? Set the radius to 100 km and the period to «Alle kommenden» (all upcoming). Every card shows the date, the meeting place and the distance – you can see at a glance what is within reach, and you sign up right on the card.
Your puppy needs company
Puppy meet-ups are rare and fill up fast. Subscribe to the type «Welpentreffen» (puppy meet-up) with a 10 km radius: as soon as a new one is approved, the notification lands in your bell and on your phone – usually before the spots are gone. Every card shows how many are already coming, for example «1/8 dabei» (1 of 8 attending).
You invite others for a walk yourself
With «+ Event» you enter title, type, date (several days are fine), meeting place and up to four pictures, and you can cap the number of participants. Once it has been approved, your event appears in the list; from then on you reach everyone who signed up through the event chat.
All of this is part of the free DOGSY account.

Subscribe to events – and let us tell you
New events appear all the time, and nobody wants to scan a list every day. With a subscription you say once what interests you and how far you would travel – DOGSY does the checking.
Pick the types
In the «Events abonnieren» dialog you pick one or more event types – for instance only «Welpentreffen» (puppy meet-up) and «Training & Workshop». If you pick nothing, all types count.
Set the radius
Then the radius: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 km. The centre is the address from your profile – it is spelled out in the dialog so you can see what the radius refers to. Without an address in your profile it doesn't work; the dialog then shows you the way there.
Get notified
As soon as a new event is approved that matches your types, your radius and your country, you get a notification – in the bell and, if you have allowed notifications, as a push on your phone. Tapping it takes you straight to the event. Each event notifies you at most once.
Changing and ending happen in the same place: the button then reads «Abo ändern» (edit subscription) and opens the same dialog, where you adjust types and radius or end the subscription altogether. An extra switch in the settings would be a second truth about the same thing – deliberately, there is none.
Host your own dog event
Want to invite others to a walk, a puppy meet-up or a training session? On DOGSY you create an event free of charge: title, type, date (multi-day too), meeting point and up to four photos. You can limit the number of participants or leave it open, review sign-ups and edit or cancel your event any time – everyone signed up is reached directly through the event chat.
Checked before anyone else sees it
Every newly created event first goes through the DOGSY team. Until it is approved, only you can see it – under «Meine Events» (my events) with the marker «in Prüfung» (under review). Once approved, it appears in the list and everyone whose subscription matches gets their notification. If it is rejected, you are told the reason and can revise it.
Safe by design – meeting point only after you sign up
DOGSY is built for safe meet-ups: the exact meeting point and the participants are only visible once you've signed up. If you share an event link outside – in a group, say – the public page deliberately shows only the rough location without an address and never who's coming. That way no meeting point travels around uncontrolled.
Frequently asked questions about dog events
What do events on DOGSY cost?
Nothing. Discovering, joining and hosting events is free – DOGSY takes no commission.
Do I need an account to take part?
To view a shared event link your browser is enough. For signing up, the exact meeting point and the event chat you need a free DOGSY account.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes – that's what the events are for. When signing up you pick your dog and, if you like, additional people.
How do I find events near me?
In the app you filter by radius around your address (1 to 100 km) and by time frame. That way dog meet-ups in your area show up first.
Can I add the date to my calendar?
Yes. After signing up you add a calendar file to your phone in a few taps – DOGSY needs no calendar permission for that.
How does subscribing to events work?
Above the events list there is a button called «Events abonnieren». Inside you pick event types (picking none means all of them) and a radius of 1 to 100 km around the address in your profile. When a matching event is approved, DOGSY notifies you – in the bell and as a push. You can change or end the subscription at any time in the same dialog.
Will I be notified about events abroad?
No. The subscription only covers events in your own country, and only those inside the radius you chose. Anyone you have blocked is left out as well.
How long until my event is visible?
Your event is checked by the DOGSY team before others can see it. Until then you find it under «Meine Events» (my events) with the marker «in Prüfung» (under review). After approval it appears in the list; if it is rejected, you are given a reason.

Discover more
Only features that are live in DOGSY today are described here: discovering and filtering events, signing up, the event chat, creating and cancelling your own events, and the calendar export. Two more features round this out: subscribing to events by type and radius with a notification on approval – and the review of newly created events by the DOGSY team.
