Delete account
For the DOGSY app (provider: Pretty Wau GmbH, St. Gallen, Switzerland). You can delete your account yourself, permanently, at any time – no waiting period, no questions asked.
How to do it in the app or on the web
- Sign in and go to Settings → Account → “Delete account” (the red danger zone at the bottom of the page).
- Type your profile name to confirm, then confirm the deletion. Your account is gone immediately – there is no way to restore it.
What gets deleted right away – and what stays
Deleted: your profile with photos, your dogs and their dog files, your DOGSYgram posts, your recorded walks, your requests and events you organised, and your login. Chats remain with the other person out of consideration for them – your name there is replaced by a neutral placeholder (“deleted profile”) with no way back to you. Donation payments remain, anonymised, wherever the law requires retention (e.g. accounting records). Pseudonymous app usage statistics are deleted immediately (otherwise automatically after 90 days). No access to your account?
Email us at info@dogsy.ch with the subject “Delete account”, sent from the address on file with us (that's how we verify the request really comes from you). We'll then delete your account manually, typically within 30 days.
Delete individual data (without deleting your whole account)
You can delete a lot yourself without giving up your account:
- DOGSYgram posts and comments – via the three-dot menu on your own post/comment
- Dogs, including their dog file and photos – in that dog's dog file
- Recorded walks – in the walks overview
- Your own requests – within the request itself
- Events you organised – in event management
For anything the app doesn't offer itself (e.g. a single message already sent to a recipient), email us at info@dogsy.ch – we handle it within 30 days.
