What is a request?
A request is your care enquiry on DOGSY – the counterpart to an offer. Instead of searching through dozens of profiles yourself, you describe once what help your dog needs, when and where. DOGSY shows your request to the matching Dogsyaner near you and notifies them automatically. That way you'll find someone even when nobody is actively looking for a job right now.

How to post a request
Your request is live in just a few minutes – and matching Dogsyaner hear about it automatically:
Sign up for free
Join DOGSY in a few minutes, free of charge, and set up your profile with your address. One account covers requests, search and messages.
Open «+ Gesuch»
In the «Suchen › Gesuche» (Search › Requests) section you tap «+ Gesuch» (+ Request). The form «Gesuch aufgeben» (post a request) opens – the same place where «Meine Gesuche» (my requests) lives later on.
Say what you need
«Welche Dienstleistung brauchst du?» (which service do you need?) – pick dog walking, care & sitting, dog taxi, errands or another service. Then «Von» (from) and «Bis · optional» (to · optional), if you like «Uhrzeit von/bis» (start/end time), «Für welchen Hund?» (which dog?, multiple choice), the address, a few sentences of description and, if you want, your wishes for the care.
Paid or voluntary
You decide whether the care is paid or voluntary. A price is possible but never required: it is a desired price, not a binding commitment – DOGSY books nothing and takes no commission. If you leave the price open, your card reads «Entgelt · Preis nach Absprache» (paid · price by arrangement).
The replies come to you
As soon as your request is online, DOGSY automatically notifies matching Dogsyaner near you – as an in-app notification and as a push, even when the app is closed. Anyone who wants to help taps «Antworten & chatten» (reply & chat); you end up in a private conversation in the DOGSY messenger and settle times, details and – if paid – the fee directly between you.
Your request only appears in the DOGSY app for logged-in Dogsyaner – not out in the open web. You only pass on your exact address once you have agreed with someone. Under «Meine Gesuche» (my requests) you can edit, deactivate or delete any request at any time.
What is it good for?
Three situations where a request gets you there faster than leafing through profiles:
Two weeks of holiday
You need holiday care with overnight stays. You enter «Von» (from) and «Bis» (to), pick your dog and describe what he is used to. Matching Dogsyaner in your area hear about it automatically – you don't have to write to anyone individually.
Long working days
Someone should take your dog out over lunch. You post a request for dog walking and set «Uhrzeit von» and «Uhrzeit bis» (start and end time). Whether that is paid or voluntary is up to you.
One single appointment
A doctor's appointment, a move, a trip without the dog: for a single day, a long search isn't worth it. One request is enough – and once the appointment is over, you deactivate it under «Meine Gesuche» (my requests) and switch it back on next time.
All three work the same way: you say once what you need – the replies come to you.
Matching results come to you
DOGSY notifies you automatically in both directions: when you post a request, we immediately inform the matching Dogsyaner in your area. And if you offer care yourself, DOGSY tells you about new requests near you – by notification and push, even when the app is closed. You set the radius and notifications yourself.

From dog walking to care & sitting, dog taxi and holiday care – every DOGSY service can be posted as a request. When posting, you simply pick the matching service.
Will I be notified when someone matching newly appears?
Yes. As soon as your request is live, DOGSY notifies matching Dogsyaner near you automatically. And if you offer care yourself, DOGSY tells you about new requests in your area – by notification and push, even when the app is closed.
Is my request visible publicly on the internet?
No. Your request only appears in the DOGSY app for logged-in Dogsyaner, not in open search engines. Only your approximate area is shown; you share your exact address once you've agreed with someone.
Can I edit or delete my request?
Yes, any time. Under «My requests» you can change your requests or remove them again.
How safe is the matching?
Dogsyaner can verify their email and phone and have their ID checked by the DOGSY team; paw ratings show other people's experiences. You first write to each other in the private messenger and get to know each other calmly before meeting up.
