Your profile is your calling card among dog people: it shows who you are, which dogs live with you and – if you like – which services you offer. On top of that come reviews from real contacts and two badges showing that DOGSY has checked you. Here you'll learn what belongs in a profile and what stays private.

What is the DOGSY profile?
Your profile is where other Dogsyaner get to know you: profile photo, a few lines about you, your home town, the languages you speak – and the dogs that live with you. Anyone offering care adds their services with prices and radius. All of it is voluntary: even without a dog of your own and without offering a service, you are a full Dogsyaner.Only signed-in members can see a profile – there is no public profile page on the web that anyone could find.
What belongs in your profile
About you & photos
Name, profile photo and a gallery with more pictures, plus a few lines about you. Every image is checked by the DOGSY team before it is published.
Home town & languages
Others see your region – only postcode and town, never your address. Plus your living situation and the languages people can write to you in.
Services & holiday mode
If you offer care: services with prices, your radius and the dog sizes you're comfortable with. Holiday mode pauses everything with one switch – you then no longer appear in the search.
Your dogs
Every dog gets its own profile: name, breed, size, sex and year of birth. Plus a private dog health record with health, vet and vaccination card.
Reviews
After care, contacts give 1 to 5 paws – with an optional comment. You can publicly reply to every review you receive.
Verified badges
Two levels: confirmed e-mail and phone number – and beyond that, an ID check by the DOGSY team.
How to set up your profile
Four steps and your profile is ready – it doesn't take longer than a few minutes:
Register for free
Sign up with your e-mail address. Then you confirm your e-mail and your phone number – that's the first badge already.
Tell people about you
Upload a profile photo, write a few lines, enter your home town and languages. Only postcode and town are shown to others.
Add your dogs
Create a separate profile for each dog – name, breed, size, year of birth. Health details and vaccination card stay private.
Add services
Only if you want to offer care: enter services, prices, radius and dog sizes. After that people find you in the Dogsyaner search.
A separate profile for every dog
Your dogs get more than a single line: each dog has its own profile with name, breed, size, sex and year of birth – and behind it a dog health record that only you can see. It holds health and special notes (allergies or medication, for example), the vet contact, the vaccination card and documents as an image or PDF, and a dog passport with chip number and vaccination status. If you want to show it to someone – a carer, the vet, the dog sitter – you share the record deliberately, and you can revoke that at any time.
The two badges – and what they really mean
DOGSY marks profiles in two levels. We say openly what each level proves – and what it doesn't: a badge is a hint, not a guarantee. Still look at the profile, read the reviews, and meet in a public place the first time.
E-mail & phone verified
This person has confirmed their e-mail address and their phone number. It means they are reachable and didn't build a throwaway account in ten seconds. It says nothing about their identity yet.
Verified – ID checked by the DOGSY team
Voluntary and a step further: an ID card or passport plus a current selfie are uploaded, and the DOGSY team checks by hand that the two match. ID and selfie are irrevocably deleted after the check – only the result is kept.
Reviews based on real contact
Only someone who has been in a chat with you can review you – reviews out of nowhere don't exist. People give 1 to 5 paws, plus an optional comment and photos that the DOGSY team checks before publication. You may publicly reply to every review you receive – and if something is unfair, you can report it to the DOGSY team.
What stays private
Your exact address is never visible – others only see postcode and town. Your date of birth stays private; only a marker shows when someone is under 18. The dog health record with health, vet and vaccination card is seen by nobody but you and the people you explicitly give it to. ID and selfie from the verification are deleted after the check. And nobody without a DOGSY account gets to see your profile – there is no public profile page on the web.
Frequently asked questions about the profile
Do I need a dog to create a profile?
No. Even without a dog of your own you are a full Dogsyaner – people who want to walk or look after dogs often don't have one.
Can strangers on the internet see my profile?
No. Profiles are only visible to signed-in DOGSY members; there is no public profile page that search engines could find.
Is my address shown?
No. Others only see postcode and town. Your exact address is only needed so distances are correct – it is never shown.
What do I get from verification?
Your profile then carries the checked badge. People looking for care tend to choose someone whose ID has been checked. It isn't mandatory.
Can I hide my services temporarily?
Yes. One switch puts your services into holiday mode – you then no longer appear in the Dogsyaner search. Your details stay saved and are active again with one click.
Does a profile cost anything?
No. The profile, like DOGSY as a whole, is free.
