When stress builds up in your dog
An exciting day, and suddenly one small thing is enough? Stress adds up. How to make sure your dog gets enough rest.
Sound familiar? After an eventful day, your dog suddenly reacts to the smallest things – irritable or completely wound up. There's a simple reason for this: stress adds up. Lots of little excitements that would be harmless on their own combine into one big load.
The bucket overflows
Picture your dog's stress as a bucket that fills up over the day: visitors, a scuffle with another dog, noise, lots of excitement. Once the bucket is full, even a tiny drop makes it overflow. Then your dog reacts far more strongly than the situation really deserves – not out of spite, but simply because they can't take any more.
