The rule
For every dog, liability insurance of at least € 725,000 must exist; it can also be part of household or hunting liability insurance (§ 3 Abs. 2). The proof is part of the report to the municipality; a change of insurance must be reported within four weeks (§ 2 Abs. 2 Z 2 and Abs. 3).
