Summary
Microchip required for some dogs, without register
The rule
Dangerous dogs must be permanently and indelibly marked at the owner's expense (for example with an ISO microchip), and the regulatory authority documents the data (§ 3 Abs. 5). Outside the enclosed property, dogs wear a collar with the owner's name and address or a valid dog tag (§ 1 Abs. 4); the Ordinance mentions neither a general chip requirement nor a central register.
