Im Wald und am Waldrand müssen Hunde in Sichtdistanz und so unter Aufsicht gehalten werden, dass sie jederzeit abrufbar sind und weder Menschen noch Tiere belästigen oder gefährden. Vom 1. April bis 31. Juli gilt dort zusätzlich eine Leinenpflicht. Ausgenommen sind Diensthunde der Polizei und anerkannte Rettungshunde im Einsatz und im Training; für Jagdgebrauchshunde gilt die Jagdgesetzgebung. Ausserhalb des Waldes hat Zug keine kantonale Leinenpflicht – im Dorf, in Parks oder an Badeplätzen gilt, was deine Gemeinde in ihrem Hundereglement festlegt.
