In the canton of Valais the following applies – our summary of the cantonal rule is available in German: «Dein Hund muss in der Datenbank AMICUS registriert sein; als Halterin oder Halter gilt, wer dort als Eigentümer eingetragen ist. (source: https://lex.vs.ch/app/de/texts_of_law/652.100, as of July 2026). If in doubt, the municipality of Martigny gives binding information.
