In Brandenburg the dog tax is a municipal tax: under § 3 Abs. 1 KAG the municipalities can levy taxes, and § 3 Abs. 2 KAG expressly names the dog tax – it may be levied even if the municipality's expenses could be covered otherwise. The Act does not state amounts; see the city page.
