Little tasks for the walk

Instead of just walking side by side: small tasks along the way make your walk exciting and strengthen your dog's focus on you.

A walk doesn't have to consist of walking alone. If you build in small tasks, you concentrate on each other and experience something together. That's fun for your dog, gives it a good workout and, quite incidentally, makes it focus more on you.

Small tasks along the way

Let your dog touch a particular tree with its nose, step onto a low stone or search for a hidden treat. Scatter a little food in the grass to snuffle for. Such mini-tasks break up the routine and give your dog the feeling that it's worth staying close to you.
