Reductions and exemptions

Exempt are avalanche search dogs, dogs of the mountain rescue service, dogs in animal sanctuaries, registered rescue dogs, dogs from animal sanctuaries in the year of acquisition and the two following years, and working hunting dogs with a blood-tracking test (§ 6 Abs. 1); recipients of an equalisation supplement are exempt (§ 6 Abs. 2). Established on application by official decision (§ 6 Abs. 3).

Registration

Report to the municipal authority (Magistrat) within one month (§ 9 Abs. 1); the levy is due for the first time within one month of delivery of the official decision, then on 15 February each year (§ 8).
