Proof is given by a certificate from a person or body with expert knowledge designated by the regional council of Darmstadt (Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt) (§ 6 Abs. 1 and 3) and is only due once the dog is 15 months old, unless it has become conspicuous earlier or comes from aggressive breeding (§ 4 Abs. 4).
