DOGSY and betreut.ch compared
betreut.ch is the Swiss presence of Care.com – a marketplace for care of all kinds, from children and seniors to animals. Dog care is one category among several there. That is the biggest difference to DOGSY, and it shows in almost every detail.

What the platform costs sitters
The difference that matters most to sitters – which is why it comes first.
At DOGSY
0.–
No commission, no booking fee, no subscription. DOGSY does not process payment for care: price and payment are agreed directly between the people involved. DOGSY is explicitly not an employer; taxes, contributions and insurance remain with the people involved.
At betreut.ch
Basic membership is free; the full range of functions requires a paid membership. The provider does not state its current price on the pages we reviewed.

A membership instead of a commission
According to our review, betreut.ch keeps nothing from the sitter's fee – payment does not run through the platform. What is paid for is access: basic membership is free, the full range of functions requires a paid membership. The provider does not state its current price on the pages we reviewed, so we do not put a figure here. At DOGSY there is neither a commission nor a membership: sitters pay nothing, and access depends on no subscription.

A marketplace for everything, not just for dogs
betreut.ch arranges childcare, senior care, household help and pet care through the same interface. That is a strength when you are looking for several things at once. But it also means nothing on the site is tailored to dogs. DOGSY is built for dogs only – with the dog file, the live location during the walk, poison bait and hazard warnings, missing dog reports, packs and knowledge articles.

German only
In our review of 31 August 2026 the Swiss site was available in German; a French and an Italian version could not be opened. For owners in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, that is the decisive point. The DOGSY interface exists in 44 languages, for Switzerland in German, French, Italian and English.

What we did not review
This review looked at what the platform costs sitters, at the basic model and at the languages. We did not review the community, safety and everyday features of betreut.ch. They are therefore absent from the table above – an unreviewed point is not a red cross for us.

Which one fits whom
Anyone who, besides dog care, is also looking for someone for the children or the household will find both on betreut.ch – in return for a membership. Anyone focused on the dog alone, without a subscription and in four national languages, is better served by DOGSY.

How this comparison was made
- We reviewed the publicly available websites and apps, and every page states the date we checked.
- What we did not find is called «not found in our review» – not «does not exist». A search without a hit proves nothing.
- We only quote figures that are documented. Where only third-party numbers exist, we say so.
- We show no third-party logos. Trademarks belong to their owners and appear as words only.
All trademarks named belong to their respective owners. DOGSY is not affiliated with them.
