What Holidog costs sitters
Creating a profile is free. Money is earned through the booking, and Holidog keeps a share of the price the sitter sets; the owner additionally pays a service fee and a fee for the HoliVet veterinary offering. The terms of use reachable under the Swiss address state up to 15 per cent for this. We report that figure with a caveat: the document carries no Swiss reference and appears identically under other country addresses – Holidog does not state a separate Swiss rate on the pages we reviewed. At DOGSY there is neither a commission nor a booking or service fee.

DOGSY takes the other route: price and payment are agreed directly between the people involved, DOGSY does not process the payment and earns nothing from it. Anyone looking for payment processing with a protection promise will find it at Holidog, not at DOGSY.

This review looked at what the platform costs sitters and at the basic model. We did not review the community, safety and everyday features of Holidog. They are therefore absent from the table above – an unreviewed point is not a red cross for us. At DOGSY, the live location during the walk, calls with audio and video, the dog file, warnings and community are part of the offering.
