DOGSY and Hundesitten.ch compared

Free and without commission – just like DOGSY

According to the information on the site, use is free; Hundesitten.ch keeps nothing from the sitter's fee, and payment is settled directly between the people involved. That is the same stance as DOGSY's, and we say so plainly: anyone who only wants a contact and does not want to pay for it will find that at both.

A contact board, not an app

Hundesitten.ch is a website with listings; an app of its own was not findable in our review of 31 August 2026. By its own account the board is run by a single person without payment – that explains the lean scope and is not a criticism. DOGSY, alongside it, is an app for everyday dog life: live location during the walk, calls with audio and video, the dog file, poison bait and hazard warnings, missing dog reports, packs and knowledge articles.

Whoever checks, checks for themselves

A procedure that verifies or confirms listed sitters was not findable in our review of 31 August 2026, nor was payment processing or a protection promise for bookings. Anyone who finds someone there relies on their own judgement. At DOGSY, too, the people involved agree price and payment themselves – DOGSY is expressly not an employer; but profile, reviews, messages and the dog file give you more to go on before entrusting your dog to someone.

How this comparison was made

  • We reviewed the publicly available websites and apps, and every page states the date we checked.
  • What we did not find is called «not found in our review» – not «does not exist». A search without a hit proves nothing.
  • We only quote figures that are documented. Where only third-party numbers exist, we say so.
  • We show no third-party logos. Trademarks belong to their owners and appear as words only.

All trademarks named belong to their respective owners. DOGSY is not affiliated with them.
