Summary
Breed list with 12 breeds
The rule
For American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier and Pit Bull Terrier the status of fighting dog is presumed; it can be rebutted by a test before an official veterinarian and a police dog handler, and the local police authority confirms this. For Bullmastiff, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Bordeaux Dogge, Fila Brasileiro, Mastin Espanol, Mastino Napoletano, Mastiff and Tosa Inu, a dog only counts as a fighting dog if a test confirms increased aggressiveness and the local police authority establishes this. Regardless of breed, dogs that bite or are aggressive count as dangerous.
